Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. Following a brief time as a model in the fashion industry and then a transition to acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s and High Incident. She made her film debut in the 1997 drama film Nowhere. With her performances on American Beauty - for which she was nominated to get an award called a BAFTA Award - and American Pie, which garnered her greater attention and recognition, she was able to move into larger roles. The year 2000 saw her starred in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead character in Sugar & Spice (2000). The film also featured her in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. The actress was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was part of several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared in fashion-related blogs as well as in magazines, such Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads.
